LTDoom11 - Looney Tunes Doom (version 1.1)

Dehacked ltdoom11.deh Readme Revised by Looney2ner 9/20/00

A graphics/sound only addon for Ultimate Doom or Doom II (v1.9)
based on the Looney Tunes cartoon characters from Warner Brothers.
This addon includes two modified weapons, new monsters and items,
and heaps of new graphics and sounds.

This is a modified version of LTD.ZIP (dated 6 Feb 1999)

Original Author : Looney2ner looney2ner@email.com
Version 1.1 Update by: Sparky of KISS Software kelm@eisa.net.au

Mods made by Sparky of KISS Software:
- reverse engineered an equivalent DeHackEd patch (ltdoom11.deh).
- the original version only worked with Doom or Ultimate Doom, but
this version can also be used with Doom II v1.9
- fixed the vertical and horizontal offsets of the new pistol sprites
- fixed the faulty BFG shooting/firing frames (almost).
- deleted all the redundant files and renamed the remaining 3 files:
    ltdoom11.deh ltdoom11.wad ltdoom11.txt

A MUCH better option is to use a Doom Source Port which can import
DeHackEd patches and wads containing sprite data - such as Boom,
PRboom, MBF, SMMU, ZDoom, Legacy, glLegacy, rorDoom, PrjDoom, etc.

Patching is not required if LTDoom11 is used with one of these Source
Ports. Just load the files as-is, for example:
     Boom/MBF/SMMU/ZDoom/rorDoom/PrjDoom: -deh ltdoom11 -file ltdoom11
     PRboom: -width 640 -height 400 -deh ltdoom11 -file ltdoom11
     Legacy: -deh ltdoom11.deh -file ltdoom11.wad

LTDoom11 tested okay with the following Source Ports:
  Boom v2.02 PRBoom v2.02 MBF v2.03
  SMMU v3.21 (Doom2 only) rorDoom (alpha 6) PrjDoom v0.1
  ZDoom v1.22 ZDoomDos v1.17c ZDoomGL v0.4
  Legacy (DOS) v1.29pr7, v1.3

LTDoom11 doesn't work with:
Legacy (Win32) v1.28 - the m_doom menu logo crashes the game
glLegacy v1.29pr7 - the game crashes while loading
Edge/DosDoom/DoomGL (and others) - no DeHackEd support

Easy Install For Looney Tune Doom

WIN 98/95/3.1

First, make sure you have a working registered copy of Doom/ULT Doom INSTALLED! (this wad file will not work with DoomII!) I do have a shareware version, this is avalaible by request Email. Now, Go to File Manager WIN 3.1, Windiows Explorer WIN 95/98 create a new DIR FOLDER called "Looney", unzip ltwad.zip to C:\Looney (where ever you see C:\ I am assumeing this is your main hard drive, if you installed LTDoom to a differant drive replace C with the proper drive letter)Once you have done this open your Doom dir. COPY (do not use MOVE this has been known to damage wad files!) all the following files to your Looney dir:

DOOM.WAD
DEFALT.CFG
SETUP.EXE
DOOM.EXE

Now you should have all the following files in your Looney dir:

DOOM.WAD
DEFALT.CFG
SETUP.EXE
DOOM.EXE
TUNE.EXE
LTWAD.WAD
E1_1.WAD (IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR UPGRADES OR EMAIL@ looney2ner@xoommail.com and request it)
Icons.zip (IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR UPGRADES OR EMAIL@ looney2ner@xoommail.com and request it)
CHEATCODE.TXT (IF YOU SIGNED UP FOR UPGRADES OR EMAIL@ looney2ner@xoommail.com and request it)
INSTALL.TXT (this file)
SHORTCUT (WIN95/98)
LTD.ICO

Now you are ready to play! If you set up the dir as I have showed you it should work, If not PLEASE email me, and I will do what I can to help you get it working! I have had some people have trouble getting to work on some systems. If my shortcut don't work you may have to make a new one for your system (this is the most common failer) If you are useing WIN 3.1 and are starting the game in DOS use this Command Line:

C:\looney\tune -file ltwad.wad e1_1.wad

(NOTE: If you plan on playing DeathMatch games you need to copy all the files from your Doom DIR. to the new Looney DIR. Or run under Legacy Doom Port)
If you are wondering why I have you sign up for upgades is, I would like to know who is playing LTDoom, If it turns out to be big hit, there will be a LTDoom2,3,4...ECT I have plans to do LTDoom wads For Heretic, Hexen,.....ECT maybe even Duke Nukem. So, the more interest I see through signup the better chance there will be more! This list is PRIVATE I will not sell it to any one! I hate that myself! You may at any time remove your self from the list by useing your password through ListBot, or email me and tell me you would like to drop from the list! This is my hobby, part of it is getting the feedback on the game, and it makes me feel good to know someone else likes the game! After all a year of my life went into this! That may not seem like much, but most games are created by a staff of 15 to 20 or so, And it can take them 2to3 years of development. For the most part I did this alone With some help from my brother searching the net for pics! ANYWAY, time to get Looney Tuned! GO PLAY!
