About the Lost Temple for Doom2  (by author)

You're checking out a temple that has been abandoned for several centuries. After some inspection you realize it is actually a staging point for Hell's forces! Engage the enemy and reach the exit by whatever means necessary!

My Review:

I'm a fan of the Legacy engine simply because of the 3 floors that it can create.  The author used that feature in this map to good effect.  The map had a very archaic feel to it and was a little reminiscent of the original Quake.  The action was spaced out and constant, a Doomer with mad fragging abilities will find this one a bit boring but may get a cheap kick out of it.  I got pegged a few times in the map, mostly from tangling with the Cybies therein.  So, without further ado, here's the breakdown..

Difficulty:  7 out of 10.  You will have plenty of ammo to fight with, just enough health to back you up.  Strafe maneuvers are needed so bone up on them if you're rusty.

Playablility: This is a one time deal, man.  Have at it then broom it off the hard drive.  5 out of 10

Design:   7.8 out of 10.  Using the original textures, the map is not extraordinary. Had it not been for the 3D floors, eh...

Overall Composite Score:  7.2  It's fun but nothing eue-popping.  Give it a try!
