DIFFICULTY RATING  - rating: 10

Cory brings us once again to the brink of insanity with this wad in which he really piles on the badasses but not in a nonsensical way. I got my ass kicked early and often in this one but it was mostly a matter of learning where the bad-guys were so I didn't get chewed into little bitty pieces right off the bat. Once I got that out of the way and I got a feel for the map, I was continually bombarded with wave after wave of demons, imps, revenants and the rest of the menagerie. The area where you collect the yellow key was probably the least difficult area of the map but I think only skill saved my ass on more than one occasion even there. There were plenty of hidden rooms and nice little traps which left me needing to use my head to defeat a certain area or two, especially when I found myself low on ammo. This map had a much better balance of ammo and health and when I found myself thinking that Cory had placed too much of one or the other in a certain area I was quickly proved wrong. You won't be bored, I promise - unless you are like an Uber player or something.

Playability -  rating: 9

This is a fairly large map with a design that is fairly straight forward but not what I would consider linear. As in KS5, alot of the action revolves (at least in the beginning) around a central room which basically sets up the rest of the map. Each discovered secret or switch was a triumph as I moved through the map and by the time I was 12 seconds into this thing I had completely forgotten his tips in the text file that comes with it and figured it out for myself. There were, however, a couple of areas that I never figured out how to get to which held some much needed ammo that I never got. I found myself using the chainsaw often as the blood was flying off the blade at a breakneck pace in many parts of the map where shotgun shells would have been an awesome thing to own. It was very challenging in that way. The only downside to the thing was those rooms I couldn't figure out how to get into that had that very much needed ammo.

Level Design -  rating: 10

Cory NEVER disappoints. This map is as well designed and architecturally interesting as any of the other wads that he has released.
