Overall - SCORE: 10 This is one of the best wads I have ever played, and I feel strongly that you must download this and play for yourself to see.

DIFFICULTY RATING - rating: 10
Once again, I have been
blessed with the honor and thrill to play another one of Cory’s works of art.
This level is not very difficult, however, he did install some puzzles here and
there and a few well set up secrets. There were a couple of ambush traps as
well, but it was more of a thrilling cliffhanger than a dying struggle to make
it thru this wad. There are switches ALL OVER THE PLACE! They are made small and
inconspicuous placed in places that take work to notice. This was moderately
hard and lots of fun.
Playability - rating: 10 Cory has a learned knack of setting you up for an ambush. When I entered a large antechamber, I saw different patches of light and floor textures. I knew that there was a trap set, but I didn’t know from where it would come. That’s the beauty of tricks-n-traps. Cory did this quite well and raised the bar in a few instances. Very, very impressive! There were a few monsters that did not respond, however. One had the drop on me but didn’t act on it, so I left him there! But overall, the map flows like water.
Level Design - rating: 10 This level is BEAUTIFUL, with a capital ‘B’!!! Check out the pics yourself. This guy has an artist’s eye and an architect’s mind! The symmetry and angles used were brilliant and the texturing was uniformed. The level had a maze-like feel and can be confusing, especially in the first half of it. I had the distinct feeling of being a lab-rat being lured by the tasty morsel into a labyrinth and was trying its best to reach the end for the treat. KICK ASS!!! |
