Overall - SCORE: 7.6

I recommend this map heartily. You will have fun, unless, as noted earlier, you are an UBER player in which case maybe speed running?

DIFFICULTY RATING  - rating: 7

Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. I consider myself to be above average in skill so I found the level to be not too difficult, although I did die in a couple of spots. For the most part there was plenty of ammo for my weapons and health, while not plentiful, was enough. I was pretty weak after getting the blue key and pretty much stayed that way for the rest of the map. While ammo was plentiful, health was not. If you are an average or below average player in the skill department, you should have alot of trouble with this map. If you are above average it will be fun but not overly difficult. If you are an UBER player then you will probably be bored.

Playability -  rating: 7

Again, depends on your level of skill. There probably isn't much replay value in this one since after the traps are sprung you can pretty much fly through the whole map the second time since you'll know where everything is. The usual assortment of standard traps are sprung on the player in this one, including walls that open up behind and to the sides of the player, dropping floors, etc... Some of them are pretty obvious that you are walking into a trap so if you take hold of your chaingun and let out a sustained burst while simultaneously strafing left and right you should be able to handle pretty much everything in this map. The toughest trap was the blue key area but again, keep your calm, use your head and you'll get through it ok.

Level Design -  rating: 8

The author used lighting to very good effect in this map as well as small features added to ceilings that lend the map a very nice quality. Lighting is one of my favorite things to mess with when I'm mapping and this author did an excellent job with it. The only downfall to the design is the linearity of the map itself. I prefer a map that makes it so you have choices and those choices effect the outcome of the game. So, while basic, it wasn't boring and there is some very nice architecture in spots. I give this one a good grade but I think the author needs to work on making his maps less linear. I hope we'll be seeing more of his work in the near future as I think he's got a promising future in level design.
