Overall - SCORE: 9.3

This is a level for the Doom old schoolers who want some fun. It’s not innovative in structures or anything, but it’s impressive nonetheless. I enjoy Karthik’s work and it’s obvious that he enjoys the work! Keep it up Karthik you got a new fan!

This was a fairly short map and it was reminiscent of Ultimate Doom’s episode 3 “Inferno”. It’s a bitch on UV and a lot of sweaty fun. There were ample health kits (cause ya gonna need it, bruddah!!) and ammo. It felt good when I came across a Baron in a very tight place, and found a plasma rifle so I can let ‘im have it! This a no holds barred, free for all. It’s not very difficult…just enough to make ya put up a small fuss sometimes.

Playability -  rating: 10

There was a couple of secrets and slick traps, but not on the large scale, if you know what I mean. This was simple and straight to the point. You start the level wailing away with your little pistolla from the get go, and continue squeezin’ off rounds for the rest of the game. The level is set up nicely for a deathmatch…

Level Design -  rating: 9

This is a stock Doom type of wad, no funky textures or new fangled structuring, just good ol’ fashioned Hell at its best! The level has a tasty feel of nostalgia and it sent me thinking back to when I first played Doom. Ahh, memories… “Sigh”. I get misty when I think of it. My first rocket launcher, my first frag, my first pair of soiled undies! Aw, yeah… those were the good ol’ days!
