DIFFICULTY RATING  - rating: 9

    If the beasties pounding the stuffin’ outta ya won’t get ya, the crushing ceilings will! CD wasn’t very hard at all, but the traps make it treacherous to say the least. I got caught with the ceiling traps, even though I knew where the traps would be set (‘cause that’s where I’d set ‘em)! Those traps work fast and give you no time to react. NICE!

 

Playability -  rating: 10

    The action stayed tight and the traps were deadly in this short, non-linear map. You will not run out of monsters to kill and there’s plenty of ammo for the shootin’. And, this is one map where an overkill of health is not an issue, though there was quite a lot. Don’t fuss… you’ll NEED IT!

 

Level Design -  rating: 10

    I’m new to Zdoom and Legacy, so I can only dream of what they can really do! Derrick installed background sounds like dripping water and wind, as well as change the music from moody to dramatic in one sector (I MUST learn how to do that)! The ceilings move a hell of a lot faster than in the original source port and will catch you EVERY time. The fog effects kicked ass! Now I see how that linedef effect works. The structuring was impressive. I really liked the tunnels in the last half of the level and door arches. There was even a window that looked more like a ripped hole in rock, which was slick (cool) as hell!
