Overall - SCORE: 9.6 If you’re looking for new looks or new ambiances, this ain’t your wad, man. But, if you’re looking for a few Imps to explode with your Plasma Rifle, then you’ve got the right one, baby!!! Sit back, pop some popcorn, pop open a cold one, and let the good times roll!!

DIFFICULTY RATING - rating: 8.5
This level wad wasn’t
difficult as most wads are… Gene did an excellent job of creating a balance
between both the baddies and the ammo. You can pretty much strafe your way thru
by using the Super Shotgun without too much drama. There’ s plenty of columns
and partitions to duck behind to avoid fire, and the areas were open enough to
maneuver about it. This is a straight forward, no holds barred, slugfest with
little to no frustration involved.
Playability - rating: 10 There are no puzzles here. But, there’s plenty of switches and a few secrets to figure out. This is traditional Dooming at its best!
Level Design - rating: 9 This is stock Doom all the way. No new textures or music, but innovative architecture that’s pretty damned impressive! There is plenty of little ‘set-ups’ to keep you on your toes. For the salty Doomer, this is like a vacation at Fiji, beautiful and lots of fun. |
