What can I tell you? I hope Ace keeps em coming. You WILL have fun playing this level!
DIFFICULTY RATING - rating: 10
This was a difficult level but
not incredibly so. I often found myself low on health, and ammo, but there was
always enough light at the end of the tunnel for me to restore my game and push
on. At one point I found myself face to face with three chaingunners and 2
bullets. Needless to say, I managed to waste the bad guys, extracated from my
dire straits and lower the yellow key. How? Because the author placed his
ammunition, health and monsters very well throughout the level and despite some
very tight spots I was able to find a way to re-establish control. I give the
author kudos for planning this level out very well. Despite the numerous
Hellknights, cacodemons, Mancubuses, etc... there was always just enough of a
carrot there for me to push on... I have to give this my best mark because it
seems that everything was just so perfectly placed that he had to have put ALOT
of playtesting into this. If he didn't, then he is a damn intuitive.
Playability - rating: 8
Its truly hard to believe that this is his first wad. Everything went together so well and while I don't believe I discovered every secret or even close I had a blast playing this level and couldn't wait for more. I was a little disappointed when I finally completed the level... The only downside was that at times it was a little bit predictable but that didn't take too much away...

First Level? When is the second coming?
This level looks like it was designed by someone with experience. There was some
redundency to the textures considering the size of the level (large - despite
what Ace says in his text file). There was detail but not enough of it in my
opinion. Some pictures on the wall (it could have used the nazi pictures quite
well), perhaps more use of architecture so give it some pizzaz but to be
perfectly honest, I was having alot of fun playing it and thats the final
measure of any wad...
