REVIEW:
WOW!

That
should be the gist of this review. But, since details are in fact
needed, I will proceed to regale you the saga of the Many Heroic
Deaths of Eric. In other words, you will buy it a lot here, mostly
from stuff you don’t see, as the map is IMMENSE. So, while you
engage some baddie over here, a bigger one WAAAAYYY over there sees
you and either snipes you or flanks you. There are various areas in
this map that are eye candy. The mapper took some serious time on
this wad and it shows.

I won’t go into the styles much, but there are cargo areas, an
airport, temple, mainframe room, and other goodies to name a few.
You will spend a lot of time running to and from, looking for
switches (not a lot of them tho) and the exit. HINT: you will have
to double back to find the exit.

The
size of the map commands at least an hour of your time, so don’t
expect to run and gun, then dip lickety split, because that ain’t
gonna happen, captain!

I
didn’t find any secrets, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any. So,
I’ll be going back for seconds to sniff around. It’s definitely
worth a second play-thru, at least. I really liked the texture pack
he used; the map came off as a nod to Duke Nukem in some spots. Even
the background music reminds me of that game.
There
are plenty of powerups, ammo, and weapons to help you thru. There
are more than enough nasties to take you out as well. All in all, I
LOVED it!

OVERALL? 9.8
